We are your blockchain development company in Sweden

We build blockchain products for companies in Sweden with our in-house team, designing each project around MiCA and Act 2024:1159, which makes Finansinspektionen the supervisor and leaves tokenized securities outside MiCA.

Blockchain development in Sweden: dotted globe with the country marked by its flag

Blockchain development in Sweden, from idea to production

We take your use case to a product you can launch, operate and extend. One team designs the architecture, writes the contracts and connects them to your systems.

Tell us what you want to build
  1. The Swedish framework, from the architecture

We first classify the holder's right: if it is a crypto-asset, FI separates CASP authorisation from financial entity notification; if it is a financial instrument, we design register and settlement on enacted rules, not on proposals such as SOU 2023:102.

  2. Contracts prepared for an audit

Your business logic is written with tests and peer review. Every contract reaches an external audit fully documented and is deployed in stages before it runs in production.

  3. In English and within your working hours

You work in English, or in Spanish if your team prefers, directly with the people who design and write the code. Meetings respect your working hours, and the rest is followed through shared documentation and a stable technical channel.

  4. A foundation to keep building on

We hand over documented code with deployments and monitoring planned, so your team can maintain the product and add features on a foundation it understands.

Blockchain use cases in Sweden

Cases built on records Sweden already keeps or is creating, from the odometer reading at inspection to the new bostadsrätt register.

    Used car mileage

Since May 2023 Swedish vehicle inspections check that the odometer reads higher than at the previous one, and the report lists the last three readings; a history buyers can verify.

  • Brick apartment building with balconies in a Stockholm neighbourhood in autumn, bostadsrätt register with blockchain in Sweden

    Bostadsrätt register

Act 2026:484 creates a Lantmäteriet register of every bostadsrätt, with holder and pledges; housing cooperatives must submit their data by 31 December 2027.

    Tokenized deposits

The Riksbank explains that a tokenized deposit can remain a claim on the bank: the token changes the representation, and the contract sets ownership, transfer and register.

Blockchain regulatory framework in Sweden

Sweden applies MiCA through Act 2024:1159, which designates Finansinspektionen (FI) as competent authority and also gives it supervision of transfer information rules. To keep operating during assessment, firms had to apply before 1 October 2025, and FI declared the general transition over on 1 July 2026. Tokenized securities fall outside MiCA, and the SOU 2023:102 report on distributed ledgers is a proposal, not law in force.

Security

Security in blockchain development in Sweden

Every delivery goes through the same checklist before it reaches mainnet. What changes between projects is the depth of each control, because an MVP does not carry the same risk as a contract that holds third-party funds.

Before mainnet

  • Roles and permissions defined for every critical function
  • Unit and invariant tests, and fuzzing on the logic that moves value
  • Static analysis and peer review of every change
  • Multisig and timelock on administration when the risk justifies it
  • Custody and rotation of the deployment keys agreed
  • External audit when the value at risk requires it

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about blockchain development in Sweden

What we are asked before a project starts.

Talk to our team
  1. Which regulations apply to a blockchain project in Sweden?

MiCA and Act 2024:1159, with FI as authority. A CASP follows the authorisation procedure with the European forms, and certain financial entities use the Article 60 notification. A tokenized security needs investment and infrastructure permissions. FI's innovation centre offers guidance but is not a temporary licence. We analyse the fit of your case before writing any code.

  2. Do you work with both startups and established companies?

Yes. With startups we work from MVP validation to a product ready to show in a funding round; with established companies, on tokenization, traceability and digital identity projects with demanding compliance requirements. Either way, smart contracts go through tests and review before they reach mainnet.

  3. How do you work with Swedish companies?

In English or Spanish, in direct contact with the people who design and build the product. Meetings are set within your working hours. Shared documentation, written decisions and a stable technical channel keep the work organised.

  4. How long does blockchain development take?

It depends on product complexity, how many systems need integrating and the level of review required. Before development we set the scope, dependencies and deliverables of each phase, so you can decide what reaches production first and what waits for a second iteration. From the start, the plan separates an MVP from a complete architecture.

  5. Which blockchain network is right for my project?

The one your product requirements call for, not the one in fashion. For EVM projects we compare Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum or Base on finality, costs, tooling, interoperability, custody and compliance, and we consider non-EVM networks when they fit better. The recommendation covers contracts, indexing, wallets and operations, and takes into account who the product is for.
