We are your blockchain development company in Canada

We build blockchain products for companies in Canada with our in-house team, and from the design stage we separate each province's securities law from the federal obligations before FINTRAC.

Blockchain development in Canada, from idea to production

We turn your use case into a product ready to launch, operate and grow. The same team designs the architecture, writes the contracts and integrates them with your systems.

Tell us what you want to build
  1. Provinces and federation, from the architecture

In Canada both the asset and the contract matter: if the platform keeps control of the asset, the customer may hold a claim subject to securities law even when the token is not a security. That is why we decide custody and delivery before the network.

  2. Smart contracts ready for review

We code your business logic with tests and peer review, and prepare it for an external audit and a progressive deployment before it reaches production.

  3. In English and on your province's hours

You work in English, or in Spanish if your team prefers. Meetings are set in your hours, whether you are in Toronto, Montreal or Vancouver, and the rest moves forward in writing.

  4. A foundation that can keep evolving

We document the code and plan deployments and monitoring, so your team can maintain the product and add features on a technical foundation it understands.

Use cases

Blockchain use cases in Canada

Canada already grades every barrel of maple syrup, marks timber before it leaves the forest and certifies its rough diamond exports; these cases build on those controls.

  • Inspector seen from behind drawing an amber sample from a steel barrel in a Quebec maple syrup warehouse, maple syrup with blockchain in Canada

    Maple syrup by the barrel

In Quebec, an independent inspector grades every barrel of bulk maple syrup for Brix, colour, flavour and authenticity: more than 300,000 barrels a year.

  • Stacked Douglas fir logs with marked ends in a log yard on the British Columbia coast, timber origin with blockchain in Canada

    Timber origin

In British Columbia, unscaled timber cannot leave the land without the registered timber mark that pertains to that land, as the Forest Act requires.

Blockchain for Supply Chain & Logistics
  • Rough diamonds in a clear parcel on a precision scale, certified diamonds with blockchain in Canada

    Certified rough diamonds

Every natural rough diamond Canada exports travels with a Kimberley Process certificate; the record follows each parcel from the mine to that certificate.

    Blockchain for Fashion & Luxury
  • Gas collection wellheads with yellow pipes on a capped Ontario landfill, carbon credits with blockchain in Canada

    Landfill methane credits

The federal offset system issues one credit per tonne of CO₂ reduced, under protocols such as landfill methane recovery, and records it in a public registry.

Blockchain regulatory framework in Canada

Canada has no single federal securities regulator: provincial and territorial regulators, coordinated through the CSA, apply securities law in each jurisdiction, and CIRO supervises member dealers. FINTRAC supervises anti-money laundering obligations but does not issue financial licences. The Stablecoin Act received royal assent on 26 March 2026, with the Bank of Canada as the intended supervisor of stablecoin issuers, although its commencement depends on subsequent orders.

Security

Security in blockchain development in Canada

Every delivery goes through the same checklist before it reaches mainnet. What changes between projects is the depth of each control, because an MVP does not carry the same risk as a contract that holds third-party funds.

Before mainnet

  • Roles and permissions defined for every critical function
  • Unit and invariant tests, and fuzzing on the logic that moves value
  • Static analysis and peer review of every change
  • Multisig and timelock on administration when the risk justifies it
  • Custody and rotation of the deployment keys agreed
  • External audit when the value at risk requires it

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about blockchain development in Canada

What we are asked before a project starts.

Talk to our team
  1. Which regulations apply to a blockchain project in Canada?

It depends on the asset, the contract with the customer and the provinces you serve. Securities law is provincial and territorial: a platform that keeps control of assets may fall within it even when the token is not a security, and the dealer route goes through CIRO. Providers of covered services register with FINTRAC for anti-money laundering purposes, but that registration is not a licence. We analyse the fit of your case before writing any code.

  2. Do you work with both startups and established companies?

Yes. We support startups from MVP validation to their first funding round, and established companies on tokenization, traceability and digital identity projects with strict compliance requirements. In every case, smart contracts go through tests and review before they reach mainnet.

  3. How do you work with Canadian companies?

In English or in Spanish if your team prefers, and in direct contact with the people who design and build the product. Meetings follow your province's hours and are kept for decisions; the rest moves forward through shared documentation, written decisions and a stable technical channel.

  4. How long does blockchain development take?

It depends on product complexity, integrations and the level of review needed. Before development we agree scope, dependencies and deliverables for each phase, so you can decide what reaches production first and what waits for a second iteration, without confusing an MVP with the complete architecture.

  5. Which blockchain network is right for my project?

We do not choose a network because it is trending. For EVM projects we assess Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum or Base on finality, costs, tooling, interoperability, custody and compliance, and we consider non-EVM networks when they fit better. The recommendation covers contracts, indexing, wallets and operations, and starts from the product requirements and its users.
