We are your blockchain development company in Nicaragua

We build blockchain products for companies in Nicaragua with our in-house team, keeping the Central Bank's payments licence apart from its virtual asset licence from the design stage, since neither replaces the other.

Blockchain development in Nicaragua, from idea to production

We turn your use case into a product you can launch, operate and grow. The same team designs the architecture, writes the contracts and integrates them with your systems.

Tell us what you want to build
  1. The Nicaraguan framework, from the architecture

The BCN keeps the payment provider licence apart from the virtual asset licence, and securities fall outside the latter. A single wallet can mix functions from both regimes, so we place each one before choosing a network.

  2. Smart contracts ready for audit

We write your business logic with tests and peer review. The code arrives ready for an external audit and a phased deployment before it runs in production.

  3. In Spanish, on your time

You work in Spanish with the people who design and write the code. Meetings are set within your working hours, and the rest moves forward in writing, through shared documentation and a stable technical channel.

  4. A foundation your team can maintain

We document the code and plan deployments and monitoring. Your team receives a technical foundation for maintaining the product and adding features.

Use cases

Blockchain use cases in Nicaragua

Records the framework itself requires or that producers are already obliged to keep, from a licensed provider's proof of reserves to the honey leaving each apiary.

  • Physical security keys and a logbook on a table in a custody room in Managua, verifiable proof of reserves with blockchain in Nicaragua

    Verifiable proof of reserves

The BCN regulation requires any VASP holding client assets to run a proof of reserves at least once a year, verifiable and without exposing its clients' identity.

    Blockchain for Banking & Finance
  • Case folders tied with ribbon on a wooden table beside a colonial window in Granada, a file for every offering with blockchain in Nicaragua

    A file for every offering

A VASP taking part in a virtual asset offering must examine the issuer, the project, its technical information and risks; every version of the file sealed with its date.

    Blockchain for Legaltech & Compliance
  • Beekeeper seen from behind in a white suit among wooden hives in a shade-grown coffee farm in northern Nicaragua, honey traceability with blockchain in Nicaragua

    Honey traced through IPSA

IPSA Resolution 104-2019 requires producers and collectors to join the traceability programme and record what comes in and goes out; every drum traced from apiary to plant.

    Blockchain for Agribusiness
  • Shrimp ponds divided by earth dykes near the Chinandega estuary, with a worker hauling a net, farmed shrimp with blockchain in Nicaragua

    Farmed shrimp

The same resolution covers aquaculture: every shrimp harvest recorded with its pond, its date and its arrival at the plant, ready to respond to a health event.

Blockchain regulatory framework in Nicaragua

The Central Bank of Nicaragua authorises virtual asset service providers under a licence separate from the payments licence, and then requires a separate authorisation to start operating. Securities fall outside that regime and follow Capital Markets Law 587, with the SIBOIF; the UAF handles anti-money laundering. The existence of that formal route does not remove the legal protection difficulties for companies documented in the guide.

Security

Security in blockchain development in Nicaragua

Every delivery goes through the same checklist before it reaches mainnet. What changes between projects is the depth of each control, because an MVP does not carry the same risk as a contract that holds third-party funds.

Before mainnet

  • Roles and permissions defined for every critical function
  • Unit and invariant tests, and fuzzing on the logic that moves value
  • Static analysis and peer review of every change
  • Multisig and timelock on administration when the risk justifies it
  • Custody and rotation of the deployment keys agreed
  • External audit when the value at risk requires it

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about blockchain development in Nicaragua

What we are asked before a project starts.

Talk to our team
  1. Which regulations apply to a blockchain project in Nicaragua?

BCN Standard CDMF-XIII-2-25 and its regulation require a VASP licence for exchanging, transferring and holding virtual assets, separate from the payments licence, plus a later authorisation to start operating; banks supervised by the SIBOIF register with the BCN. If the token is a security, Law 587 applies. AML duties fall under the UAF, and United States sanctions on designated persons are reviewed separately. We analyse the fit of your case before writing any code.

  2. Do you work with both startups and established companies?

Yes. We support startups from MVP validation to their first round, and established companies on traceability, document registry and compliance projects with strict requirements. In every case, smart contracts go through tests and review before they reach mainnet.

  3. How do you work with Nicaraguan companies?

In Spanish and in direct contact with the people who design and build the product. We set aside a slot in your working day for decision meetings, and the rest moves forward through shared documentation, written decisions and a stable technical channel.

  4. How long does blockchain development take?

It depends on product complexity, integrations and the level of review it needs. Before development we set scope, dependencies and phase deliverables. That lets you decide what reaches production first and what waits for a second iteration, without mistaking an MVP for the complete architecture.

  5. Which blockchain network is right for my project?

The one the product requirements call for, not the trend of the moment. For EVM projects we compare Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum or Base on finality, costs, tooling, interoperability, custody and compliance, and we consider non-EVM networks when they fit better. The recommendation covers contracts, indexing, wallets and operations, with the product's users in mind.
