We are your blockchain development company in South Korea

We build blockchain products for companies in South Korea with our in-house team, starting from how the country separates virtual asset provider registration from the new tokenized securities regime.

Blockchain development in South Korea, from idea to production

We turn your use case into a product that can be launched, operated and extended. A single team designs the architecture, writes the contracts and integrates them with your systems.

Tell us what you want to build
  1. The Korean framework, from the architecture

We separate the virtual asset service from the securities issue, because registering as a provider does not allow you to broker tokenized securities. If the product touches fiat currency, the real-name bank account is part of the design from the start.

  2. Smart contracts ready for review

We build your business logic with tests and peer review, and prepare the code for an external audit and a gradual deployment before it reaches production.

  3. In English, with meetings at your hours

You work in English, or in Spanish if your team prefers, with the people who design and write the code. Meetings are set in Korean business hours, and the rest moves forward in writing.

  4. A foundation that can evolve

We document the code and plan deployments and monitoring, so your team can maintain the product and extend it on a foundation it understands.

Use cases

Blockchain use cases in South Korea

South Korea already inspects red ginseng before sale, treats fractional music royalties as securities and is preparing a distributed ledger for its securities; these cases build on that.

    Securities on a distributed ledger

The reform passed in January 2026 recognises distributed ledgers for securities records, with the KSD depository in the infrastructure and main provisions expected from 4 February 2027.

Blockchain regulatory framework in South Korea

In South Korea, virtual asset service providers (VASPs) register with KoFIU, and since July 2024 the Virtual Asset User Protection Act has required them to protect their customers' deposits and assets; registration requirements were tightened on 20 August 2026. Tokenized securities are a separate framework: the reform passed in January 2026 recognises distributed ledgers for securities records, with its main provisions expected to apply from 4 February 2027 and the implementing rules under consultation. Neither regime on its own authorises issuing stablecoins.

Security

Security in blockchain development in South Korea

Every delivery goes through the same checklist before it reaches mainnet. What changes between projects is the depth of each control, because an MVP does not carry the same risk as a contract that holds third-party funds.

Before mainnet

  • Roles and permissions defined for every critical function
  • Unit and invariant tests, and fuzzing on the logic that moves value
  • Static analysis and peer review of every change
  • Multisig and timelock on administration when the risk justifies it
  • Custody and rotation of the deployment keys agreed
  • External audit when the value at risk requires it

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about blockchain development in South Korea

What we are asked before a project starts.

Talk to our team
  1. Which regulations apply to a blockchain project in South Korea?

It depends on the asset and on what each company does. A virtual asset service provider registers with KoFIU, with ISMS certification and, if it deals in fiat currency, a real-name bank account; it must also segregate customer deposits and assets. A token representing the economic rights of an investment is assessed under the securities regime, which keeps its offering and brokerage rules. We analyse the fit of your case before writing any code.

  2. Do you work with both startups and established companies?

Yes. We support startups from MVP validation to a product they can show in a funding round, and established companies on tokenization, traceability and digital identity projects with strict compliance requirements. Smart contracts go through tests and review before they reach mainnet.

  3. How do you work with South Korean companies?

In English, or in Spanish if you prefer, in direct contact with the people who design and build the product. Meetings are set in Korean business hours, within your working day; the rest of the work moves forward through shared documentation, written decisions and a stable technical channel.

  4. How long does blockchain development take?

Timing depends on product complexity, its integrations and the level of review it requires. Before development we set scope, dependencies and deliverables for each phase, so you can decide what reaches production first and what waits for a second iteration. That way an MVP is never mistaken for a complete architecture.

  5. Which blockchain network is right for my project?

We do not choose a network because it is trending. For EVM projects we assess Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum or Base on finality, costs, tooling, interoperability, custody and compliance, and we consider non-EVM networks if they fit better. The recommendation covers contracts, indexing, wallets and operations, and follows the product requirements and who will use it.
