We are your blockchain development company in Norway

We build blockchain products for companies in Norway with our in-house team, designing each project around MiCA as Norway incorporated it through the EEA, with Finanstilsynet as supervisor.

Blockchain development in Norway, from idea to production

We take your use case to a product you can launch, operate and extend. One team designs the architecture, writes the contracts and connects them to your systems.

  1. The Norwegian framework, from the architecture

Finanstilsynet assesses a licence by service and by legal entity, so we define early which company provides each service. For an issuance, we settle the asset's ownership, register and settlement before choosing the network.

  2. Smart contracts prepared for review

We write your business logic with tests and peer review, and every contract reaches the external audit fully documented. Deployment happens in stages before it runs in production.

  3. In your language, within your working day

You work in English, or in Spanish if your team prefers, directly with the people who design and write the code. Meetings take place during your working hours, and follow-up stays in shared documentation and a stable technical channel.

  4. A foundation built to grow

We hand over documented code with deployments and monitoring planned. Your team gets a technical foundation for maintaining the product and adding features.

We cover the full Web3 product lifecycle: idea, MVP, mainnet deployment, audits and maintenance.

Use cases

Blockchain use cases in Norway

Cases that rest on records Norway already requires, from the weekly sea lice count on salmon farms to Kartverket's grunnbok.

  • Circular pens of a salmon farm in a Norwegian fjord with a worker seen from behind on the walkway, farmed salmon with blockchain in Norway

    Farmed salmon

Salmon farms report sea lice counts, water temperature and treatments to Mattilsynet every week; the record links that data to each batch.

  • CO2 receiving terminal with white storage tanks beside a quay on the Øygarden coast, CO2 storage with blockchain in Norway

    CO2 storage

Northern Lights, owned by Equinor, Shell and TotalEnergies, has transported and stored CO2 from industrial emitters since 2025, with a terminal in Øygarden; every tonne traced to storage.

    Blockchain for Energy & Sustainability
  • Housing cooperative blocks with timber facades and balconies in an Oslo neighbourhood, cooperative housing with blockchain in Norway

    Cooperative housing

Shares in a housing cooperative (borettslag) are registered in Kartverket's grunnbok; a token can reflect them, but every change of holder is registered there.

    Blockchain for Real Estate
  • Spruce logs stacked beside a forest road in a Norwegian forest with a forester seen from behind, timber and skogfond with blockchain in Norway

    Timber and skogfond

When selling timber, forest owners pay between 4 and 40% of the gross value into their skogfond account; the record links each log batch to its sale and that reserve.

Blockchain regulatory framework in Norway

Norway is not an EU member but belongs to the European Economic Area: its Crypto-Assets Act incorporated MiCA with effect from 1 July 2025. Finanstilsynet handles CASP authorisation and the notifications of certain financial entities, and the extension for former registered providers ended on 30 June 2026. Tokenized securities fall outside MiCA and need their own financial permissions.

Security

Security in blockchain development in Norway

Every delivery goes through the same checklist before it reaches mainnet. What changes between projects is the depth of each control, because an MVP does not carry the same risk as a contract that holds third-party funds.

Before mainnet

  • Roles and permissions defined for every critical function
  • Unit and invariant tests, and fuzzing on the logic that moves value
  • Static analysis and peer review of every change
  • Multisig and timelock on administration when the risk justifies it
  • Custody and rotation of the deployment keys agreed
  • External audit when the value at risk requires it

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about blockchain development in Norway

What we are asked before a project starts.

Talk to our team
  1. Which regulations apply to a blockchain project in Norway?

MiCA, incorporated by Norway's Crypto-Assets Act from 1 July 2025, together with the transfer of funds rules (TFR II) and the Norwegian DORA act, in force from the same date. A CASP applies to Finanstilsynet through Altinn using form KRT-3060; certain financial entities use the Article 60 notification. Technical standards are checked in the version incorporated in Norway. We analyse the fit of your case before writing any code.

  2. Do you work with both startups and established companies?

Yes. With startups we work from MVP validation to a product ready to show in a funding round; with established companies, on tokenization, traceability and digital identity projects with demanding compliance requirements. Either way, smart contracts go through tests and review before they reach mainnet.

  3. How do you work with Norwegian companies?

In direct contact with the people who design and build the product, in English or Spanish. Meetings fit into your working day, decisions are recorded in writing, and shared documentation and a stable technical channel keep the work organised.

  4. How long does blockchain development take?

It depends on product complexity, the systems that need integrating and the level of review required. Before development we set the scope, dependencies and deliverables of each phase, so you can decide what reaches production first and what waits for a second iteration. From the start, the plan separates an MVP from a complete architecture.

  5. Which blockchain network is right for my project?

The one your product requirements call for, not the one in fashion. For EVM projects we compare Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum or Base on finality, costs, tooling, interoperability, custody and compliance, and we consider non-EVM networks when they fit better. The recommendation covers contracts, indexing, wallets and operations, and takes into account who the product is for.
