We are your blockchain development company in the Netherlands

We build blockchain products for companies in the Netherlands with our in-house team, designing each project around MiCA and the way supervision is split between the AFM and DNB.

Blockchain development in Netherlands: dotted globe with the country marked by its flag

Blockchain development in the Netherlands, from idea to production

We take your use case to a product you can launch, operate and extend. One team designs the architecture, writes the contracts and connects them to your systems.

Tell us what you want to build
  1. The Dutch framework, from the architecture

The AFM handles CASP authorisation and DNB oversees prudential requirements, so we design custody, permissions and records for both. We also separate client assets legally and operationally, because setting up a stichting is not enough.

  2. Contracts ready for an audit

We write your business logic with tests and peer review. Every contract is documented and prepared for an external audit, then deployed in stages before it runs in production.

  3. In your language and on your schedule

You work in English, or in Spanish if your team prefers, directly with the people who design and write the code. Meetings follow your working hours, and the rest is handled through shared documentation and a stable technical channel.

  4. A foundation that can keep growing

We hand over documented code with deployments and monitoring planned, so your team can maintain the product and add features on a foundation it understands.

Use cases

Blockchain use cases in the Netherlands

Cases that build on specific Dutch rules, from each dairy farm's phosphate rights to the end of solar netting in 2027.

  • Stacking cranes and containers at a Maasvlakte terminal in Rotterdam with an inspector seen from behind, Rotterdam container tracking with blockchain in the Netherlands

    Rotterdam containers

The Port of Rotterdam handled 212 million tonnes in the first half of 2026; the record shares each container's status between shipping line, terminal and haulier.

  • Friesian cows on a green polder beside a dairy farm with a farmer seen from behind, dairy phosphate rights with blockchain in the Netherlands

    Dairy phosphate rights

A dairy farm needs phosphate rights for its herd size; farmers sell or lease them to one another, report each transfer to RVO and 30% is usually withheld on transfers.

    Blockchain for Agribusiness
  • Brick canal house facades in Amsterdam reflected in the water, with a cyclist seen from behind, real estate participations with blockchain in the Netherlands

    Real estate participations

Transferring property requires a deed from a Dutch notary and registration with the Kadaster; the token represents a participation or a claim against the issuer, not the property.

  • Solar panels on the roofs of a row of Dutch brick terraced houses, household solar surplus with blockchain in the Netherlands

    Household solar surplus

From 1 January 2027 annual netting (saldering) ends: electricity fed into the grid is paid for separately by the supplier; the record keeps every kWh fed in.

Blockchain regulatory framework in the Netherlands

In the Netherlands, MiCA applies with shared supervision: the AFM handles CASP authorisation and leads their supervision, while DNB oversees prudential requirements and leads supervision of ART and EMT issuers. The transition for the former DNB registration ended on 30 June 2025, earlier than the European maximum. A token that is a financial instrument follows securities rules, and a real estate token does not replace the notarial deed or registration with the Kadaster.

  1. MiCA service rules apply

  2. DNB registration transition ends

The transitional route for providers relying on the previous registration ends, shortened in the Netherlands from eighteen to six months by the Uitvoeringsbesluit MiCA en TFR.

  3. AML and sanctions supervisory documentation

The AFM, which under MiCA took over supervision of compliance with the anti-money laundering and sanctions acts by CASPs other than banks and electronic money institutions, updates its information on the periodic CASP questionnaire.

Security

Security in blockchain development in Netherlands

Every delivery goes through the same checklist before it reaches mainnet. What changes between projects is the depth of each control, because an MVP does not carry the same risk as a contract that holds third-party funds.

Before mainnet

  • Roles and permissions defined for every critical function
  • Unit and invariant tests, and fuzzing on the logic that moves value
  • Static analysis and peer review of every change
  • Multisig and timelock on administration when the risk justifies it
  • Custody and rotation of the deployment keys agreed
  • External audit when the value at risk requires it

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about blockchain development in Netherlands

What we are asked before a project starts.

Talk to our team
  1. Which regulations apply to a blockchain project in the Netherlands?

MiCA governs crypto-asset issuance and services. CASP authorisation and, for eligible financial entities, the Article 60 notification go through the AFM; DNB supervises prudential requirements and ART and EMT issuers. Notifying a white paper does not mean the supervisor has approved it. AML and sanctions obligations also apply and, if the token is a financial instrument, so do securities rules. We analyse the fit of your case before writing any code.

  2. Do you work with both startups and established companies?

Yes. With startups we work from MVP validation to a product they can present in a funding round; with established companies, on tokenization, traceability and digital identity projects with demanding compliance requirements. Either way, smart contracts go through tests and review before they reach mainnet.

  3. How do you work with Dutch companies?

In English or Spanish, in direct contact with the people who design and build the product. Meetings fit into your working day, decisions are put in writing, and shared documentation and a stable technical channel keep the work organised.

  4. How long does blockchain development take?

It depends on product complexity, the integrations with your systems and the level of review required. Before development we set the scope, dependencies and deliverables of each phase, so you can decide what reaches production first and what waits for a second iteration. From the start, the plan separates an MVP from a complete architecture.

  5. Which blockchain network is right for my project?

The one your product requirements call for. For EVM projects we compare Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum or Base on finality, costs, tooling, interoperability, custody and compliance, and we consider non-EVM networks when they fit better. The recommendation covers contracts, indexing, wallets and operations, and takes into account who will use the product.
