We are your blockchain development company in Belgium

We build blockchain products for companies in Belgium with our in-house team, designing each project around MiCA and the way Belgian law splits supervision between the FSMA and the National Bank depending on who provides the service.

Blockchain development in Belgium, from idea to production

We take your use case to a product you can launch, operate and extend. One team designs the architecture, writes the contracts and connects them to your systems.

Tell us what you want to build
  1. The Belgian framework, from the architecture

In Belgium the supervisor depends on the status of whoever provides the service: the FSMA for a specialist CASP, the National Bank for banks and payment institutions. We start from which company contracts with the client and what service it provides, and custody, permissions and records follow from that.

  2. Smart contracts ready for an audit

Your business logic is written with tests and peer review. Every contract is documented for an external audit and deployed in stages before it runs in production.

  3. In English and on your schedule

You work in English, or in Spanish if your team prefers, directly with the people who design and write the code. Meetings go in your working hours, and follow-up lives in shared documentation.

  4. A foundation to keep building on

We hand over documented code with deployments and monitoring planned, so your team can maintain the product and add features on a foundation it understands.

Use cases

Blockchain use cases in Belgium

Cases that build on controls Belgium already applies, from Antwerp's diamond customs office to container release at its port.

  • Rough and cut diamonds on folded diamond paper next to a loupe on an Antwerp table, Antwerp diamonds with blockchain in Belgium

    Antwerp diamonds

Antwerp's Diamond Office, Belgium's only customs office for diamond trade with non-EU countries, inspects every shipment; the record ties each rough parcel to its Kimberley certificate.

    Container release

Since 2024 the port of Antwerp has used Certified Pick up instead of PIN codes to release containers, and Zeebrugge adopts it in November 2026; the record follows every handover.

Westmalle, Chimay, Orval and Rochefort are ITA abbeys, whose ATP label requires brewing beside the abbey under the monks' supervision; every batch tied to its abbey.

  • Long oak table with bound documents in the meeting room of an Art Nouveau townhouse in Brussels, white paper offerings with blockchain in Belgium

    White paper offerings

The FSMA requires the white paper for a MiCA Title II offering to be notified at least twenty working days before publication, in machine-readable format and with a reasoned classification.

Blockchain regulatory framework in Belgium

In Belgium, MiCA applies alongside the Law of 11 December 2025, in force since 3 January 2026, which divides supervision: the FSMA handles prudential and conduct supervision of specialist CASPs, while the National Bank of Belgium (NBB) keeps responsibilities for banks, payment and e-money institutions, and for ART and EMT tokens. The transition period ended on 30 June 2026. A token that qualifies as a financial instrument falls outside MiCA and is assessed under securities rules.

Security

Security in blockchain development in Belgium

Every delivery goes through the same checklist before it reaches mainnet. What changes between projects is the depth of each control, because an MVP does not carry the same risk as a contract that holds third-party funds.

Before mainnet

  • Roles and permissions defined for every critical function
  • Unit and invariant tests, and fuzzing on the logic that moves value
  • Static analysis and peer review of every change
  • Multisig and timelock on administration when the risk justifies it
  • Custody and rotation of the deployment keys agreed
  • External audit when the value at risk requires it

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about blockchain development in Belgium

What we are asked before a project starts.

Talk to our team
  1. Which regulations apply to a blockchain project in Belgium?

MiCA governs crypto-asset issuance and services, and the Law of 11 December 2025 sets which authority acts in each case. A specialist CASP applies to the FSMA for authorisation; Article 60 financial entities can notify the services their status covers. A Title II offering is notified to the FSMA with its white paper, and a tokenized financial instrument follows securities rules. We analyse the fit of your case before writing any code.

  2. Do you work with both startups and established companies?

Yes. With startups we work from MVP validation to a product ready to show in a funding round; with established companies, on tokenization, traceability and digital identity projects with demanding compliance requirements. Either way, smart contracts go through tests and review before they reach mainnet.

  3. How do you work with Belgian companies?

In English or Spanish, in direct contact with the people who design and build the product. We set meetings within your working hours and organise the work through shared documentation, written decisions and a stable technical channel.

  4. How long does blockchain development take?

It depends on product complexity, how many systems need integrating and the level of review required. Before development we set the scope, dependencies and deliverables of each phase, so you can decide what reaches production first and what waits for a second iteration. From the start, the plan separates an MVP from a complete architecture.

  5. Which blockchain network is right for my project?

The one your product requirements call for, not the one in fashion. For EVM projects we compare Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum or Base on finality, costs, tooling, interoperability, custody and compliance, and we consider non-EVM networks when they fit better. The recommendation covers contracts, indexing, wallets and operations, and takes into account who the product is for.
