We are your blockchain development company in Austria

We build blockchain products for companies in Austria with our in-house team, preparing each project for what the FMA examines under MiCA: the real operating model, who is accountable to the client and whether the token is in fact a security.

Blockchain development in Austria, from idea to production

We take your use case to a product you can launch, operate and extend. One team designs the architecture, writes the contracts and integrates them with your systems.

Tell us what you want to build
  1. The Austrian framework, from the architecture

The FMA reviews a CASP's business model and may examine its managers orally. We first define which entity contracts with the client, who controls the keys and what each participant provides, and we check whether the tokenized right has become a security.

  2. Smart contracts ready for review

We write your business logic with tests and peer review, and prepare every contract, documented, for an external audit. Deployment happens in stages before it runs in production.

  3. In English and within your working day

You work in English, or in Spanish if your team prefers, directly with the people who design and write the code, with meetings inside your working day.

  4. A foundation your team can extend

We hand over documented code with deployments and monitoring planned. Your team gets a technical foundation for maintaining the product and adding features.

Use cases

Blockchain use cases in Austria

Cases built on records Austria already keeps, from the pumpkin seed oil banderole to E-Control's guarantees of origin.

  • Roasted pumpkin seeds and bottles of dark green oil in a Styrian oil mill, Styrian pumpkin seed oil with blockchain in Austria

    Styrian pumpkin seed oil

Every bottle of Steirisches Kürbiskernöl g.g.A. carries a banderole with an individual, consecutive control number; the record links that number to the oil mill and the harvest.

  • Dam and hydroelectric plant in an Austrian Alpine valley with a turquoise reservoir, guarantees of origin with blockchain in Austria

    Guarantees of origin

Since 2015 Austria has banned the sale of electricity of unknown origin; every renewable MWh carries a guarantee of origin with a unique number in E-Control's database.

    Blockchain for Energy & Sustainability
  • Facade of a Viennese Gründerzeit building covered in scaffolding during its renovation, renovation crowdfunding with blockchain in Austria

    Renovation crowdfunding

The FMA warns that a standardized, transferable crowdfunding right can be a security, and representing a building's rental income does not confer co-ownership of it.

  • String quartet seen from behind rehearsing in a Vienna concert hall with music stands and scores, concert programs with blockchain in Austria

    Concert programs

AKM asks for the program of every live performance to be reported so royalties reach authors and publishers accurately; the record links concert, works and distribution.

Blockchain regulatory framework in Austria

Austria applies MiCA through the MiCA-VVG, which designates the FMA as competent authority; the Oesterreichische Nationalbank cooperates on specific tasks concerning ART and EMT issuers, but it is not an alternative route for authorization. The former provider register stopped authorizing operations on December 31, 2025. Tokenized securities fall outside MiCA, and the FMA warns that standardizing a right and making it transferable can turn it into a transferable security.

Security

Security in blockchain development in Austria

Every delivery goes through the same checklist before it reaches mainnet. What changes between projects is the depth of each control, because an MVP does not carry the same risk as a contract that holds third-party funds.

Before mainnet

  • Roles and permissions defined for every critical function
  • Unit and invariant tests, and fuzzing on the logic that moves value
  • Static analysis and peer review of every change
  • Multisig and timelock on administration when the risk justifies it
  • Custody and rotation of the deployment keys agreed
  • External audit when the value at risk requires it

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about blockchain development in Austria

What we are asked before a project starts.

Talk to our team
  1. Which regulations apply to a blockchain project in Austria?

MiCA governs crypto-asset issuance and services, and the MiCA-VVG applies it in Austria with the FMA as authority. A CASP applies to the FMA through the Incoming Plattform; certain financial entities use the Article 60 notification. If the token is a security, investment or crowdfunding rules come in. The FMA sandbox can narrow the scope of a test, but it does not suspend the law. We analyze the fit of your case before writing any code.

  2. Do you work with both startups and established companies?

Yes. With startups we work from MVP validation to a product ready to show in a funding round; with established companies, on tokenization, traceability and digital identity projects with demanding compliance requirements. Either way, smart contracts go through tests and review before they reach mainnet.

  3. How do you work with Austrian companies?

In English or Spanish, in direct contact with the people who design and build the product. Meetings fit into your working day, and the work is organized through shared documentation, decision meetings and a stable technical channel.

  4. How long does blockchain development take?

It depends on product complexity, the systems that need integrating and the level of review required. Before development we set the scope, dependencies and deliverables of each phase, so you can decide what reaches production first and what waits for a second iteration. From the start, the plan separates an MVP from a complete architecture.

  5. Which blockchain network is right for my project?

The one your product requirements call for, not the one in fashion. For EVM projects we compare Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum or Base on finality, costs, tooling, interoperability, custody and compliance, and we consider non-EVM networks when they fit better. The recommendation covers contracts, indexing, wallets and operations, and takes into account who the product is for.
