We are your blockchain development company in Italy

We build blockchain products for companies in Italy with our in-house team, separating from the design stage a crypto-asset service under MiCA from an issuance of securities in a digital register under Decree-Law 25/2023.

Blockchain development in Italy, from idea to production

We take your use case to a product you can launch, operate and extend. One team designs the architecture, writes the contracts and integrates them with your systems.

Tell us what you want to build
  1. The Italian framework, from the architecture

Italy has two routes with different legal bases: crypto-asset services, authorised by CONSOB after consulting Banca d'Italia, and the issuance of securities in a digital register with its own register manager. Choosing one or the other changes roles, permissions and records.

  2. Smart contracts reviewed before production

We write your business logic with tests and peer review, and every contract reaches the external audit fully documented. Deployment happens in stages before it runs in production.

  3. In your language and on your schedule

You work in English, or in Spanish if your team prefers, directly with the people who design and write the code. We fit meetings into your working day, and everything else lives in shared documentation and a stable technical channel.

  4. Code your team can keep extending

We hand over documented code with deployments and monitoring planned, so your team can maintain the product and add features on a foundation it knows.

Use cases

Blockchain use cases in Italy

Four cases anchored in marks and records Italy already requires, from the Parmigiano Reggiano plate to the code on every medicine pack.

  • Rows of Parmigiano Reggiano wheels on the wooden shelves of an ageing warehouse in Emilia, Parmigiano Reggiano traceability with blockchain in Italy

    Parmigiano Reggiano wheels

From its first hours each wheel carries a casein plate with a unique alphanumeric code for the dairy and production day; the record follows it through ageing.

    Murano art glass

Only companies authorised by the Veneto Region may apply the Vetro Artistico Murano sticker, and only to their own pieces made on the island; the record ties each piece to its workshop.

    Blockchain for Art & Culture
  • Issuance documents and a fountain pen on the walnut table of a meeting room in Milan, bonds in a digital register with blockchain in Italy

    Bonds in digital registers

Decree-Law 25/2023 allows shares and bonds to be issued in a digital register; outside a DLT Pilot Regime system, it is kept by a manager on CONSOB's list.

    Medicine packs

Prescription medicines are moving from the bollino to the unique identifier of Regulation (EU) 2016/161, with a transition until 8 February 2027; every shipment linked to that code.

Blockchain regulatory framework in Italy

Italy applies MiCA through Legislative Decree 129/2024, which divides responsibilities: CONSOB authorises specialised CASPs after consulting Banca d'Italia, while banks, e-money institutions and investment firms follow their own notification routes. Issuing shares or bonds in digital registers has a separate basis, Decree-Law 25/2023, and its register manager is not a CASP. The transition for the former OAM register ended no later than 30 June 2026.

Security

Security in blockchain development in Italy

Every delivery goes through the same checklist before it reaches mainnet. What changes between projects is the depth of each control, because an MVP does not carry the same risk as a contract that holds third-party funds.

Before mainnet

  • Roles and permissions defined for every critical function
  • Unit and invariant tests, and fuzzing on the logic that moves value
  • Static analysis and peer review of every change
  • Multisig and timelock on administration when the risk justifies it
  • Custody and rotation of the deployment keys agreed
  • External audit when the value at risk requires it

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about blockchain development in Italy

What we are asked before a project starts.

Talk to our team
  1. Which regulations apply to a blockchain project in Italy?

MiCA governs crypto-asset issuance and services, and Legislative Decree 129/2024 sets out the Italian authorities and procedures. A specialised provider needs CONSOB authorisation; certain financial entities can use the Article 60 MiCA notification. If the token is a financial instrument it falls outside MiCA: its digital issuance is governed by Decree-Law 25/2023 and its distribution by securities rules. We analyse the fit of your case before writing any code.

  2. Do you work with both startups and established companies?

Yes. With startups we work from MVP validation to a product ready to show in a funding round; with established companies, on tokenization, traceability and digital identity projects with demanding compliance requirements. Either way, smart contracts go through tests and review before they reach mainnet.

  3. How do you work with Italian companies?

Through direct contact with the people who design and build the product, in English or Spanish. Meetings fit into your working hours, and the work is organised through shared documentation, decisions recorded in writing and a stable technical channel.

  4. How long does blockchain development take?

It depends on product complexity, the systems that need integrating and the level of review required. Before development we set the scope, dependencies and deliverables of each phase, so you can decide what reaches production first and what waits for a second iteration. From the start, the plan separates an MVP from a complete architecture.

  5. Which blockchain network is right for my project?

The one your product requirements call for, not the one in fashion. For EVM projects we compare Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum or Base on finality, costs, tooling, interoperability, custody and compliance, and we consider non-EVM networks when they fit better. The recommendation covers contracts, indexing, wallets and operations, and takes into account who the product is for.
