We are your blockchain development company in Finland

We build blockchain products for companies in Finland with our in-house team, designing each project around MiCA, Act 402/2024 and two issues that carry weight there: separating each client's assets and collecting the data Vero requires.

Blockchain development in Finland, from idea to production

We take your use case to a product you can launch, operate and extend. One team designs the architecture, writes the contracts and connects them to your systems.

Tell us what you want to build
  1. The Finnish framework, from the architecture

After the KKO 2020:64 ruling, custody must be able to identify and separate what belongs to each client, and we design accounts and records that way. The tax data collection Vero requires is planned separately from FIN-FSA authorisation, because one does not settle the other.

  2. Smart contracts ready for review

We write your business logic with tests and peer review, and prepare every contract, documented, for an external audit. Deployment happens in stages before it runs in production.

  3. In English and in your working hours

You work in English, or in Spanish if your team prefers, directly with the people who design and write the code. We meet within your hours in Helsinki, and day-to-day work continues in shared documentation and a stable technical channel.

  4. A foundation your team can extend

We hand over documented code with deployments and monitoring planned. Your team gets a technical foundation for maintaining the product and adding features.

Use cases

Blockchain use cases in Finland

Cases built on Finnish records and rules, from the ear marks on reindeer to custody that separates each client's assets.

  • Herd of reindeer in a wooden corral on Lapland snow with a herder seen from behind, reindeer ear marks with blockchain in Finland

    Reindeer ear marks

Every reindeer carries its owner's registered official mark on its ears, and the Reindeer Herders' Association registers about 12,000; the record follows each animal to slaughter.

  • Vault with rows of numbered safe deposit boxes in a Helsinki bank, segregated client custody with blockchain in Finland

    Segregated client custody

In KKO 2020:64 the Supreme Court allowed attachment of bitcoin mixed with another person's in a debtor's account; custody is designed to keep each client's assets separate.

    Blockchain for Banking & Finance
  • Accountant seen from behind facing binders in a Helsinki office with snowy rooftops outside the window, DAC8 tax data with blockchain in Finland

    DAC8 tax data

Vero requires crypto-asset providers to collect user and transaction data from 2026 for the first CARF and DAC8 reports in 2027; the record keeps every transaction with its tax residence.

    Blockchain for Legaltech & Compliance
  • Students seen from behind wearing white graduation caps on a Helsinki street in early summer, digital matriculation exam with blockchain in Finland

    Digital matriculation exam

Since 2019 Finland's national matriculation examination, the ylioppilastutkinto, has been fully digital; a certificate register lets anyone verify a result without paper copies.

Blockchain regulatory framework in Finland

Finland applies MiCA alongside Act 402/2024, with FIN-FSA as financial supervisor; the Consumer Ombudsman and the Financial Stability Authority have their own roles, and the tax administration, Vero, requires CARF and DAC8 data collection from 2026. The transition for former registered providers ended on 30 June 2025. FIN-FSA has warned against marketing that presents its supervision as a guarantee of a safe investment.

Security

Security in blockchain development in Finland

Every delivery goes through the same checklist before it reaches mainnet. What changes between projects is the depth of each control, because an MVP does not carry the same risk as a contract that holds third-party funds.

Before mainnet

  • Roles and permissions defined for every critical function
  • Unit and invariant tests, and fuzzing on the logic that moves value
  • Static analysis and peer review of every change
  • Multisig and timelock on administration when the risk justifies it
  • Custody and rotation of the deployment keys agreed
  • External audit when the value at risk requires it

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about blockchain development in Finland

What we are asked before a project starts.

Talk to our team
  1. Which regulations apply to a blockchain project in Finland?

MiCA and Act 402/2024, which replaced the 2019 virtual currency providers act. A CASP applies to FIN-FSA with its own AML risk assessment; after six months without a decision on a complete application, an appeal to the Helsinki Administrative Court is possible, but silence does not authorise. Separately, Vero requires CARF and DAC8 data from 2026. We analyse the fit of your case before writing any code.

  2. Do you work with both startups and established companies?

Yes. With startups we work from MVP validation to a product ready to show in a funding round; with established companies, on tokenization, traceability and digital identity projects with demanding compliance requirements. Either way, smart contracts go through tests and review before they reach mainnet.

  3. How do you work with Finnish companies?

In English or Spanish, in direct contact with the people who design and build the product. Meetings adapt to your team's hours. Shared documentation, decision meetings and a stable technical channel keep the work organised.

  4. How long does blockchain development take?

It depends on product complexity, the systems that need integrating and the level of review required. Before development we set the scope, dependencies and deliverables of each phase, so you can decide what reaches production first and what waits for a second iteration. From the start, the plan separates an MVP from a complete architecture.

  5. Which blockchain network is right for my project?

The one your product requirements call for, not the one in fashion. For EVM projects we compare Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum or Base on finality, costs, tooling, interoperability, custody and compliance, and we consider non-EVM networks when they fit better. The recommendation covers contracts, indexing, wallets and operations, and takes into account who the product is for.
