We are your blockchain development company in Denmark

We build blockchain products for companies in Denmark with our in-house team, designing each project around MiCA and Finanstilsynet's approach: what counts is who controls the service, not the DeFi label.

Blockchain development in Denmark, from idea to production

We take your use case to a product you can launch, operate and extend. One team designs the architecture, writes the contracts and connects them to your systems.

Tell us what you want to build
  1. The Danish framework, from the architecture

Finanstilsynet separates technical architecture from who directs and controls the service: an interface to a protocol can be a regulated activity even if it runs on smart contracts. We document who can upgrade the contracts or decide over the assets, and permissions and records follow from that.

  2. Contracts ready for an audit

We write your business logic with tests and peer review. Every contract is documented and prepared for an external audit, then deployed in stages before it runs in production.

  3. In English and on your schedule

You work in English, or in Spanish if your team prefers, directly with the people who design and write the code. Meetings fit into your working day in Copenhagen, and between them the work carries on in shared documentation and a stable technical channel.

  4. Code your team can maintain

We hand over documented code with deployments and monitoring planned, so your team can maintain the product and add features on a foundation it knows.

Use cases

Blockchain use cases in Denmark

Cases built on systems Denmark already runs, from the state organic label to the deposit on bottles and cans.

  • Dairy cows grazing in a meadow on a Danish organic farm with red brick barns, Ø organic label with blockchain in Denmark

    Ø organic label

The red Ø with the word “statskontrolleret” shows Danish authorities inspected whoever last processed, packed or labelled the organic product; the record follows each batch.

  • Crates of empty bottles and sacks of cans stacked in the back room of a Danish supermarket, deposit packaging with blockchain in Denmark

    Deposit packaging

Non-profit Dansk Retursystem has run the deposit on bottles and cans since 2002, and 92% return to the system; the record reconciles deposits, returns and each producer's fees.

  • Rows of bicycles parked beside a Copenhagen canal with a cyclist seen from behind, bicycles and frame numbers with blockchain in Denmark

    Bicycles and frame numbers

Danish police let anyone check whether a bicycle is reported stolen and issue frame numbers for privately imported bikes; each bike's history, useful to insurers.

    Blockchain for Insurance & Insurtech
  • Brick office building on Copenhagen harbour with people seen from behind on the quay, fund managers with blockchain in Denmark

    Fund managers

For Finanstilsynet, managing an alternative fund is not a CASP service in itself; if the manager provides crypto-asset services to third parties, MiCA and its notification apply.

Blockchain regulatory framework in Denmark

Denmark applies MiCA with Finanstilsynet as supervisor, handling authorisations and notifications through a form on virk.dk. The transition only covered firms already operating that applied no later than 30 December 2024, for at most eighteen months. In 2024 Finanstilsynet published principles on decentralisation: using smart contracts does not take whoever controls the interface outside MiCA. Tokenized financial instruments fall outside MiCA.

Security

Security in blockchain development in Denmark

Every delivery goes through the same checklist before it reaches mainnet. What changes between projects is the depth of each control, because an MVP does not carry the same risk as a contract that holds third-party funds.

Before mainnet

  • Roles and permissions defined for every critical function
  • Unit and invariant tests, and fuzzing on the logic that moves value
  • Static analysis and peer review of every change
  • Multisig and timelock on administration when the risk justifies it
  • Custody and rotation of the deployment keys agreed
  • External audit when the value at risk requires it

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about blockchain development in Denmark

What we are asked before a project starts.

Talk to our team
  1. Which regulations apply to a blockchain project in Denmark?

MiCA governs crypto-asset services and in-scope issuances, with Finanstilsynet as authority. A CASP applies for authorisation and Article 60 entities notify, completely and before starting, through the virk.dk form. A DeFi interface is assessed by who controls it, and tokenized securities follow investment rules. FT Lab allows testing under conditions without suspending the law. We analyse the fit of your case before writing any code.

  2. Do you work with both startups and established companies?

Yes. With startups we work from MVP validation to a product ready to show in a funding round; with established companies, on tokenization, traceability and digital identity projects with demanding compliance requirements. Either way, smart contracts go through tests and review before they reach mainnet.

  3. How do you work with Danish companies?

In English or Spanish, in direct contact with the people who design and build the product. Meetings fit your team's working day, and the work is organised through shared documentation, written decisions and a stable technical channel.

  4. How long does blockchain development take?

It depends on product complexity, how many systems need integrating and the level of review required. Before development we set the scope, dependencies and deliverables of each phase, so you can decide what reaches production first and what waits for a second iteration. From the start, the plan separates an MVP from a complete architecture.

  5. Which blockchain network is right for my project?

The one your product requirements call for, not the one in fashion. For EVM projects we compare Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum or Base on finality, costs, tooling, interoperability, custody and compliance, and we consider non-EVM networks when they fit better. The recommendation covers contracts, indexing, wallets and operations, and takes into account who the product is for.
