Stablecoin

A stablecoin is a crypto-asset designed to maintain a reference value, usually one unit of a currency such as the euro or US dollar. It may rely on reserves, collateral or algorithmic mechanisms. Its market price can diverge from that target, and redemption rights depend on the issuer, product and legislation.
