We are your blockchain development company in Germany

We build blockchain products for companies in Germany with our in-house team, designing each project around MiCA, BaFin supervision and the German Electronic Securities Act, the eWpG.

Blockchain development in Germany, from idea to production

We take your use case to a product that can be launched, operated and extended. A single team designs the architecture, writes the contracts and connects them to your systems.

Tell us what you want to build
  1. The German framework, from the architecture

First we classify the token: a MiCA crypto-asset or an electronic security under the eWpG. Then we separate the functions the law treats separately, such as issuing, keeping the crypto securities register and custody, because each one needs its own permission.

  2. Contracts prepared for an audit

We write your business logic with tests and peer review. Every contract reaches the external audit documented and is deployed in stages before it runs in production.

  3. In English and on your schedule

You work in English, or in Spanish if your team prefers, with the people who design and write the code. Meetings are set within your working day, and the rest of the work lives in shared documentation.

  4. A foundation built to grow

We hand over documented code with deployments and monitoring planned. Your team gets a technical foundation for maintaining the product and adding new features.

Use cases

Blockchain use cases in Germany

Cases that build on specific German obligations, from the control number on every quality wine to due diligence across the supply chain.

  • Frankfurt office towers seen from the Eiserner Steg footbridge at dawn, with pedestrians seen from behind, electronic bonds with blockchain in Germany

    eWpG electronic bonds

The eWpG replaces the paper certificate with an entry in an electronic register; that is how Siemens issued a €60 million one-year bond on a public network in February 2023.

  • Tall Riesling bottles on the labelling line of a vaulted Moselle winery cellar, wine control number with blockchain in Germany

    Wine control number

Every Qualitätswein or Prädikatswein carries its official control number on the bottle, identifying the bottler, the application and the year; the record links it to the tested lot.

    Blockchain for Agribusiness
  • Solar panels on the roof of a Leipzig apartment building with a technician seen from behind, shared rooftop solar with blockchain in Germany

    Shared rooftop solar

Section 42b of the Energy Industry Act lets a building's solar output be shared among residents under an agreed allocation key, with quarter-hourly metering; the record applies that key.

    Blockchain for Energy & Sustainability
  • Worker seen from behind checking pallets of components in the goods-in warehouse of a German automotive supplier, supplier due diligence with blockchain in Germany

    Supplier due diligence

Companies with at least 1,000 employees in Germany document their supply chain due diligence on an ongoing basis and keep it for seven years; the record timestamps each review.

Blockchain regulatory framework in Germany

In Germany, MiCA applies directly and the KMAG act gives BaFin national supervision, in cooperation with the Bundesbank. Electronic securities have their own law, the eWpG, which distinguishes central registers from crypto securities registers; keeping that register or holding crypto instruments in custody are KWG activities separate from CASP authorisation. National permissions that predate MiCA expired at the end of 2025 at the latest.

Milestones enabling blockchain in Germany

The dates that set how an electronic security is issued and how a crypto-asset service is authorised in Germany today. Each milestone links to its source.

See the regulation guide for Germany
  1. The eWpG enters into force

The Act dated 3 June takes effect on 10 June. It initially introduces electronic issuance for bearer bonds; current categories reflect subsequent amendments.

  2. First German crypto custody permission

BaFin grants Coinbase Germany the first permission for the then-new custody activity. This is a national framework milestone, not an early MiCA authorisation.

    Bundestag · Government response
  3. MiCA applies to service providers

The European provider regime and national supervisory framework apply. Services must fall within the relevant authorisation or notification.

    MiCA · Article 149
  4. Deadline for permissions continuing under Section 50 KMAG

National permissions covered by Section 50(1) expire no later than the end of this date. The provision also specifies earlier expiry events.

Security

Security in blockchain development in Germany

Every delivery goes through the same checklist before it reaches mainnet. What changes between projects is the depth of each control, because an MVP does not carry the same risk as a contract that holds third-party funds.

Before mainnet

  • Roles and permissions defined for every critical function
  • Unit and invariant tests, and fuzzing on the logic that moves value
  • Static analysis and peer review of every change
  • Multisig and timelock on administration when the risk justifies it
  • Custody and rotation of the deployment keys agreed
  • External audit when the value at risk requires it

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about blockchain development in Germany

What we are asked before a project starts.

Talk to our team
  1. Which regulations apply to a blockchain project in Germany?

MiCA governs crypto-asset issuance and services, with BaFin as the national authority under the KMAG; providing those services requires CASP authorisation or, for certain financial entities, the Article 60 notification. If the token is a security, the eWpG sets how it is issued in an electronic register, and keeping a crypto securities register needs its own permission. AML obligations also apply. We analyse the fit of your case before writing any code.

  2. Do you work with both startups and established companies?

Yes. With startups we work from MVP validation to a product ready to show in a funding round; with established companies, on tokenization, traceability and digital identity projects with demanding compliance requirements. Either way, smart contracts go through tests and review before they reach mainnet.

  3. How do you work with German companies?

In English or Spanish, in direct contact with the people who design and build the product. Decision meetings take place during your working hours, and the work is organised through shared documentation, written decisions and a stable technical channel.

  4. How long does blockchain development take?

It depends on product complexity, how many systems need integrating and the level of review required. Before development we set the scope, dependencies and deliverables of each phase, so you can decide what reaches production first and what waits for a second iteration. From the start, the plan separates an MVP from a complete architecture.

  5. Which blockchain network is right for my project?

The one your product requirements call for, not the one in fashion. For EVM projects we compare Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum or Base on finality, costs, tooling, interoperability, custody and compliance, and we consider non-EVM networks when they fit better. The recommendation covers contracts, indexing, wallets and operations, and takes into account who the product is for.
