Provider guide
Top Cardano development companies: how to choose
Compare Metlabs, TxPipe and Anastasia Labs for Cardano development: validators, transaction building, integration and infrastructure.

A Cardano application needs to connect the rules authorising an operation with software that prepares the transaction and presents it to the user. The contract forms one part of that journey. When commissioning development, establish which team also takes responsibility for selecting inputs, managing signatures and responding when an operation becomes invalid before submission.
This Metlabs commercial guide compares our application and integration approach with TxPipe and Anastasia Labs, two references with published Cardano services and tools. Selection follows the identifiable scope of their offerings. It does not claim independence or rank companies by outcomes we have not verified.
Commission the whole transaction journey
Cardano uses the EUTXO model: transactions consume existing outputs and create new ones under validation conditions. An application must prepare these operations outside the chain. If two transactions attempt to consume the same output, the design needs to handle the conflict and rebuild the operation where appropriate.
That relationship changes provider assessment. Request a journey covering transaction construction, wallet connection and validation, including data sources and tools. Our Cardano technology page explains the architecture; the commercial proposal should specify who delivers and maintains each component.
Metlabs: product rules and acceptance criteria
Our blockchain development approach connects business rules to actual application use. For a Cardano project, scope should describe the states represented by each operation, who can authorise it and the information required to construct it. Tool selection should include an explanation of maintenance responsibilities.
As a design example, consider an application allocating units from a limited inventory. Two users may try to acquire the last unit at the same time. The prototype should demonstrate how availability updates and what happens to a transaction prepared against state already consumed by another user. The interface needs to provide a response matching the recorded outcome.
This exercise helps assess product delivery and its integrations, the engagement against which our proposal should be compared. The assigned team must demonstrate its ability with Cardano’s actual architecture. A technology list or general contract development experience does not replace that evidence or establish a previous project on this network.
TxPipe: tools, contracts and infrastructure
TxPipe publishes tools for UTXO application development and offers professional services covering contracts, backend, frontend and infrastructure. Its offering mentions Aiken and Haskell. The tooling catalogue includes data and application components, providing a basis for discussing work outside the chain as well as validation code.
When assessing a proposal, distinguish use of an existing component from work specific to the client. Request versions, licences, infrastructure dependencies and application maintenance procedures. An open tool is a technical reference; support terms and responsibility for integration require a commercial agreement.
Anastasia Labs: validators and off-chain transaction building
Anastasia Labs advertises Cardano contract development, off-chain transaction building and security review services. Its page identifies Haskell and ecosystem languages including Aiken. This is a relevant profile when assessing both validation rules and the code preparing operations.
If a proposal includes development and review, establish who performs each task, on which version and within which scope. An advertised audit service is not equivalent to an independent review of the same code. Findings, corrections and any need for external review should be defined as separate deliverables.
Compare a maintainable delivery
Send candidates the same functional example and request a demonstration covering prepared, rejected and confirmed transactions. This lets you examine behaviour before comparing proposals solely on hours or price.
- State: how rules are represented and which outputs each operation uses.
- Concurrent use: input conflicts, rebuilding transactions and user feedback.
- Integration: supported wallets, data sources, submission and transaction tracking.
- Handover: code, tests, documentation, dependencies and maintenance responsibility.
Our general blockchain development company guide provides further procurement criteria. For Cardano, comparable proposals should connect validators and transaction construction within an application whose outcome can be checked from beginning to end.
