A wallet reads a network’s record and prepares operations. In non-custodial models, users authorize through keys or account logic. In custodial models, a provider controls access mechanisms and processes client instructions.
A wallet may use a single key, multisignature authorization, multiparty computation or a smart account. These describe different dimensions: signing method, control over signing and account rules.
The interface does not store assets as files. Recovery depends on the model, backups and permissions. Not every wallet requires a seed phrase.
