Metlabs receives AJE Galicia's 2026 Innovation Award
AJE Galicia recognized Metlabs for its work in blockchain technology and real-world asset tokenization at the 15th awards ceremony in Ferrol.
Metlabs received AJE Galicia’s Innovation Accésit on March 5, 2026, at the 15th Young Entrepreneur and Entrepreneurial Initiative Awards, held at the Ferrol Naval Arsenal. The distinction recognises the company’s work in blockchain technology and asset tokenization from its base in A Coruña.
The ceremony brought together more than 160 representatives from Galicia’s business community. AJE Galicia and AJE Ferrolterra organised the edition to recognise young ventures with the capacity to innovate, create jobs and contribute to the region’s economic development.
Recognition for innovation built in Galicia
The Innovation Accésit recognizes a track record focused on bringing blockchain technology to concrete business applications. Metlabs designs and develops infrastructure for real-world asset tokenization, connecting assets, capital and operations through verifiable digital records.
Pablo Gómez, Metlabs’ CEO and founder, highlighted the possibility of building technology companies with international activity from Galicia during his remarks.
Global technology with a team in A Coruña
Metlabs is building its international reach from A Coruña, where the company maintains its engineering and product team. In an interview published by Enfoques after the ceremony, Pablo Gómez explained that the company works with clients in Latin America, the United States and the United Arab Emirates while continuing to strengthen its operating base in Galicia.
In the interview, the founder connected that international activity with the possibility of developing technology from Galicia and serving businesses operating in other markets.
The 15th edition brought institutions, companies and young entrepreneur associations from across Galicia to Ferrol. Ferrol360 highlighted the role of this new generation in the digitization of small businesses, the adoption of technology and the creation of projects tied to their home region.
The Galician regional government supported an event focused on regionally rooted entrepreneurship and the ability of young ventures to strengthen the productive economy.
Two AJE recognitions for Metlabs
The AJE Galicia recognition comes only months after AJE Coruña presented Metlabs with its 2025 Business Initiative Award. Both awards recognize the same commitment. Creating technology jobs in Galicia while developing products here for companies and projects across different markets.
The recognition relates to the work of the Metlabs team and the people and organisations that have trusted the company. Its activity retains a base in A Coruña while developing projects for different markets.
