ONCHAINID is a decentralized identity framework developed by Tokeny Solutions in Luxembourg. An ONCHAINID is an identity smart contract, deployed by a user or institution, that stores keys and claims, verifiable attestations about that identity such as completed KYC, eligible residence jurisdiction or investor suitability. Technically it implements the ERC-734 and ERC-735 identity pattern for key and claim management. Within the T-REX protocol it works with three registries: the Identity Registry, which links each wallet to its ONCHAINID; the Trusted Issuers Registry, with the trusted claim issuers; and the Claim Topics Registry, with the attestation types required for the token.
It lets KYC and AML verification and investor eligibility attach to a wallet in a reusable, on-chain way, without exposing personal data, since only claims are published and not the underlying documents. A single identity can serve multiple tokens and applications.
On every transfer, the token queries the compliance contract and the Identity Registry to check that the recipient's ONCHAINID holds the required claims, issued by trusted issuers; if not, the operation is blocked. Tokeny uses it as the basis of ERC-3643, and Chainalysis and QuillAudits document its role within that standard. ONCHAINID is the identity component that transfer restrictions evaluate against.
Claims may disclose or allow inference of personal information. Published fields, address linkability and read permissions require assessment.
Technical rules apply configured conditions. Asset classification, customer identification and other external obligations are not resolved by the contract.
