Sequencer availability affects submission and initial confirmations. Ordering powers may introduce censorship or value extraction through reordering.
The sequencer receives operations and orders them within system rules. It may offer a fast response before publishing the batch to L1. That response depends on the operator’s availability and commitments.
A single operator introduces censorship, outage and ordering-related value-extraction risks. Some rollups offer forced inclusion or distributed sequencing. Access to these mechanisms and their delays must be checked for each network.
