About Metlabs

Metlabs is a blockchain development company with an in-house team. We have spent +4 years building and taken +30 projects to production for companies across different countries.

We still work like a small team. There are few layers, decisions move quickly and everyone understands the full problem. Engineering, design and business work together and stay close to the client.

We are growing into increasingly ambitious projects. We want people who join early, speak up and help shape how the team builds.

About the role

We are looking for a senior engineer who wants to own a meaningful part of Metlabs' blockchain architecture. You will not receive closed specifications and simply implement them. You will stay close to the product, the client and the decisions that shape each solution.

You will have the autonomy to design, challenge and carry decisions through production. We want someone comfortable with ambiguity, who knows when to move and when to slow down, and who keeps the security bar high without adding unnecessary complexity.

What you will do

  • Own the smart contract architecture behind new products.
  • Write, test and deploy Solidity contracts with Foundry.
  • Make decisions on permissions, upgrades and transfer rules with compliance built in.
  • Work with product, frontend and backend to ship every flow end to end.
  • Prepare audits, resolve findings and raise the team's security standard.

What we are looking for

  • Strong experience with Solidity, the EVM and production security patterns.
  • The ability to own important work independently and ask for context when needed.
  • Judgment to keep the architecture simple without compromising security.
  • Good TypeScript skills and an understanding of a complete integration.
  • Clear communication, technical humility and a willingness to help the team.
  • Professional English. Spanish is useful but not required.

Nice to have

  • Experience with ERC-3643, account abstraction or multisig systems.
  • Participation in audits or bug bounty programs.
  • Knowledge of capital markets, custody or asset tokenization.

How we work

This is a hybrid role based in A Coruña or Madrid. We meet to decide, design and unblock work together. The rest of the week is organized with flexibility and ownership.
